The sale of bible online has been banned in China. What What Can be Done? by Admin(m): Tue May 2018 12:53pm
TODAYS CHRISTIAN NEWS ACROSS THE GLOBE!

The sale of bible online has been banned in China. What will happen next to Christians?

Right from the time of John the Baptist, the Kingdom has suffered violence and only the violent taketh it by force! Friends and believers in the Christian faith, we have faced a lot of persecution in this world, this is nothing new, this has been a battle from the garden of Eden. The devil is like a wounded Lion, roaming around, deceiving believers and persecuting them. Many have lost faith, but many have stood strong. What category do you fall under? today we have new about Christian persecution in China, read and pray along against every opposition of Hell against the church of Jesus.

Some months ago China started a process that ended with the ban on the sale of bibles online.
The process included officials forcefully entering into Christian homes to remove Christian symbols and replacing them with the image of President Xi. Also Christians have to ask for permission before holding any religious activity. And permission has to be sought from the authorities before you can have Bible meetings at home.

Meanwhile, there are rumors that believers are being arrested and punished for their faith.
Prior to now bibles and religious texts couldn't be bought in public places only online, in government regulated churches and Christian bookstores.
After the ban on Thursday, the Bible can only be gotten in church libraries and premises. President Xi Jinping says it's a move to limit the influence of the West and Christianity on China's values.

If you search for the Bible on Chinese online sites such as amazon.cn and Taobao they redirect to Christian storybooks and other texts. While on jd.com it shows no results. Likewise, a popular Christian site on Wechat China's biggest social media site woke up to find the Bible and other Christian publications have been deleted.

If you ask me all these seems well planned and carried out but to what end?
We know China is a communist country and communists are mostly atheists but when does politics cross over into religion?
The ban comes after the policy for life terms for China presidents was p****ed. Do you smell a rat?
If China with the largest population of humans in the world can do this what's the fate of Christians over the world?

Is this the beginning of the end of Christianity as we know it? Or is the end of the world approaching faster than we thought?
What's the fate of Christianity henceforth? Are Christians being poorly treated the world over because they have been deemed, cowards?
Bringing this home, there have been rumors of an agenda to Islamize Nigeria. Do you think we will get to that point?
So many questions to ask. Please let's discuss.

Scriptures that speak of persecution

Amos 1:6-
Thus says the LORD, "For three transgressions of Gaza and for four I will not revoke its punishment, Because they deported an entire population To deliver it up to Edom.

Habakkuk 1:6-11
"For behold, I am raising up the Chaldeans, That fierce and impetuous person Who march throughout the earth To seize dwelling places which are not theirs. "They are dreaded and feared; Their justice and authority originate with themselves. "Their horses are swifter than leopards And keener than wolves in the evening Their horsemen come galloping, Their horsemen come from afar; They fly like an eagle swooping down to devour

Revelation 9:7-10
The appearance of the locusts was like horses prepared for battle; and on their heads appeared to be crowns like gold, and their faces were like the faces of men. They had hair like the hair of women, and their teeth were like the teeth of lions. They had breastplates like breastplates of iron; and the sound of their wings was like the sound of chariots, of many horses rushing to battle

Revelation 2:10 -
'Do not fear what you are about to suffer. Behold, the devil is about to cast some of you into prison, so that you will be tested, and you will have tribulation for ten days Be faithful until death, and I will give you the crown of life.

John 15:18:-
"If the world hates you, you know that it has hated Me before it hated you

1 John 3:13:-
Do not be surprised, brethren, if the world hates you.

John 15:19

"If you were of the world, the world would love its own; but because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, because of this the world hates you.

1 Thessalonians 2:13-16:-
For you, brethren, became imitators of the churches of God in Christ Jesus that are in Judea, for you also endured the same sufferings at the hands of your own countrymen, even as they did from the Jews, who both killed the Lord Jesus and the prophets, and drove us out. They are not pleasing to God, but hostile to all men, For this reason we also constantly thank God that when you received the word of God which you heard from us, you accepted it not as the word of men, but for what it really is, the word of God, which also performs its work in you who believe

Friends, Christians', pray for Chrisitians accross the world, that God will give us grace to stand firm and contend for the faith.

Thank You Lord.

Well, let us lift our hands to the most high God and begin to bless His holy name.

Give Him glory, give Him honour, give Him adoration – let Him hear your voice.

Bless the King of kings and the Lord of lords.

There is no one like Him.

Give Him glory, give Him honour, give him adoration

Bless His holy name.

Bless the Ancient of days

Magnify Him

Praise Him

Adore Him

Lift Him high

Magnify Him

Praise Him

Praise Him

Praise Him

Thank You Father

Hallelujah

Thank You Ancient of days

May Your name forever be glorified.

Thank You Father.

In Jesus mighty name we worshipped.

Let us lift our voices to Him loud and clear and say: Father, answer my prayers by fire tonight.

Go ahead talk to the Almighty.

Father, please answer my prayers by fire tonight. Thank You Jesus. Hallelujah. Thank You Lord.

In Jesus mighty name we have prayed.

The God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob

Jehovah, the Man of war

Your mercy endureth forever and ever

O praise His holy name.

Amen.

The God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob

Jehovah, the Man of war

Your mercy endureth forever and ever

O praise His holy name.

Amen.

The God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob

Jehovah, the Man of war

Your mercy endureth forever and ever

O praise His holy name.

Amen.

Wonderful Jesus, marvelous Jesus, powerful Jesus, glorious Jesus, miraculous Jesus, everlasting Jesus, loving Jesus, kind Jesus, faithful Jesus, reliable Jesus, glory be to Your holy name, accept our worship in Jesus’ name.

Tonight my Father and my God, the kind of miracles that You have never done before, please, perform them in our lives. In the lives of all those who are here, in the lives of all those who are listening to us all over the world, something so big that we will never forget tonight, Father, do it in all our lives. Thank You Almighty God.

In Jesus mighty name we have prayed.

Amen.

Let somebody shout hallelujah.

Shake hands with two or three people and say good evening, God bless you and you may be seated for a while; you will be standing very soon.

I will be calling on you to pray very soon before we go to the sermon

I have received a lot of calls and texts and etcetera etcetera

Saying that Daddy why are you not saying something? Can’t you see what is going on?

Well, I am a Christian and as a Christian I belong to the Christian ****ociation of Nigeria and the Christian ****ociation of Nigeria has a Chairman or President.

Whatever He says, that is what I have said.

I am a Pentecostal; I belong to the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria

And the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria has a President

Whatever my president says that is what I have said.

That is how to be under authority.

Amen.

But to you my children and this time I am talking to my children alone.

I am not talking to Nigerians; this is not a press conference; I am talking to my children.

You see there are two sides of me:

One side is a Mathematician

The other is a Pastor

And somehow I cannot separate the two for long.

So, before I ask you to pray I am going to spell out some equations which we will solve simultaneously after which will do what we should do.

Equation 1: There are certain problems beyond man – there are certain problems man cannot solve.

Equation 2: There is no problem beyond God (that is equation 2) - Luke chapter 18 verse 27

Thank You Father

We want to spell out equations but God asks me tell somebody you have been suffering from severe neck pain, it started as if you did not sleep well but continue to become something serious; He asked me to tell you, the pain is gone.

So, where are we now?

Equation 2 – No problem beyond God – Luke 18:27

Equation 3 says: Man can hide from man – A man can hide from other men.

Equation 4 says: NO man can hide from God

Psalm 139 verse 7 to 12: David said, where can I hide from Your Spirit? If I go to the top of the mountain You are there; I go to the bottom of the sea, You are there – there is no where I can hide.

Equation 5 says: Security Agents can be compromised – you can bride your way from the clutches of security agents – Security agent can be compromised.

Equation 6 says: God cannot be compromised - His holiness is not negotiable.

Isaiah chapter 6 verse 1 to 3: the angels are always crying holy, holy, holy, holy is the Lord God Almighty.

Equation (which equation is that one now?) 7 says: Man can sponsor evil – it is possible for man to sponsor evil.

Esther chapter 3 verse 8 to 9: A man called Haman said to the king, I want you to destroy the Jews; here is money for you to do it – I will pay you for killing the Jews

Equation 8 says: God cannot sponsor evil – it is impossible for God to sponsor evil - Job chapter 8 verse 20

So, we have eight simultaneous equations

If we solve these equations simultaneously, there is only one answer: “the Prayer Warrior is more effective than the Activist” – that is the solution.

If we put it another way, in a slightly deeper way, you will come to the conclusion that – you can call that the corollary – that, the enemies of God and the children of God make the same mistake.

There is only one mistake that is common to both the enemies of God and the children of God – they have one mistake in common

And what is that mistake?

Both of them underrate the power of prayer.

The enemies of God underrate the power of prayer;

Holy Ghost Service is conducted every first Friday of every month from 19hrs GMT till dawn at Redemption Camp, Kl 46, Lagos - Ibadan Express Way, Nigeria.
RCCG 5 Warning Signs for the Church in a "Facebook Culture" by Admin(m): Tue Mar 2018 04:23pm
RCCG 5 Warning Signs for the Church in a "Facebook Culture"

written by Michael J. Kruger

One of my favorite childhood memories is watching the movie Star Wars in the theater in 1977. I (along with an entire nation) was awestruck. Nothing like that had ever been done before. We were all sucked into a new world of spaceships, light sabers, strange creatures, and distant galaxies. But of all the things that caught the attention of the average Star Wars viewer, no doubt the amazing technology of the future was near the top of the list. What would it be like to have robots with personalities, to hover above the ground on a "land speeder," to play "chess" with virtual-holographic images, and to have lost limbs restored with robotic parts?

Of course, in our modern day these very things have largely been realized. In fact, I noticed that when my own son watched Star Wars on DVD a few years ago, he was not amazed by much of anything technological—some of that probably seemed pretty realistic to him. He was mesmerized instead by the fast flying ships, light saber fights, and fun action scenes. We live in a world where technology advances at such a mind-boggling pace that we hardly have time to stop and be amazed by it. We feel this today particularly in the area of "social media" such as Facebook, Twitter, MySpace, and just plain ol' texting. We are (supposedly) more connected with each other, more in touch with each other, more often communicating with each other, than ever before.

But, as I think about my son's future, and even about life in the modern day, I have to ask the simple question: What effect does "social media" technology have on the way we view church? What effect does it have on the way we conceive of life in the body of Christ? Of course, much of social media is positive. And the church has used this technology to advance the cause of Christ. Moreover, I cannot miss the irony of writing about the affects of technological forms of communication on my own website! Nevertheless, I do have some concerns—and so should you. Here are a few characteristics of a "Facebook culture" that we certainly need to reckon with as believers:

1. Short attention span/limited learning style. For folks who can absorb information at the rate of a short text message or "tweet," it's difficult to imagine them sitting through a 35 minute sermon and being able to engage in a sustained manner. Does this mean we shorten our sermons or make them more entertaining? Or does this mean we have to work harder to train our congregations in the way they learn? Hopefully the latter.

2. Low view of authority/over-focus on equality. One of the most oft-overlooked impact of social media is the effect it has on the way we view authority figures. The Internet is the great equalizer—everyone has a voice. Now everyone has a platform to speak their mind, say their piece. After any blog article or any news story, a person can write their own opinion and their own comments. And certainly much of this is good. But it can also lead to an "egalitarian" view of authority; that no one person's opinion should be valued or weighted anymore than another's. This presents problems for a biblical ecclesiology that understands the church and the pastors to have real authority in the lives of its people.

3. "Surfacey" interactions/artificial relationships. MIT professor Sherry Turkle has recently written the book Alone Together: Why We Expect More from Technology and Less from Each Other (2011). She observes, "On social-networking sites such as Facebook, we think we will be presenting ourselves, but out profile ends up as somebody else—often the fantasy of who we want to be" ( p.153). In other word, people might feel more connected, but they can really be more distant, at least from who they really are. In contrast, true Christian fellowship requires that we engage with people as we really are, so that we can honestly face our sin and grow together in Christ.

4. Lack of Physical Presence. Turkle observes again: "People readily admit they would rather leave a voicemail or send an email than talk face-to-face.... The new technologies allow us to 'dial down' human contact, to titrate its nature and extant" (p.15). Modern technology can create an almost non-physical, quasi-Gnostic existence. It's ironic that one of Christianity's earliest enemies was Gnosticism, which held the belief that the physical world was inherently evil and that salvation was largely a release from the physical body. In contrast, biblical Christianity has always had a robust and positive view of the physical. Face-to-face presence matters. Indeed, one day, in the new heavens and new earth, we will have new, resurrected bodies and we will see Christ (and each other) physically. Forever.

5. Low Commitment/Accountability. One of the attractive features of a Facebook-style of communication is that it requires very little of us. It is a low-commitment and low-accountability type of interaction. We control—and entirely control—the duration, intensity, and level of contact. At any moment, we can simply stop. But the Christian life and real Christian relationships don't work like this. We do have obligations to one another, covenant obligations. Put differently, Christianity has a corporate aspect to it that stands directly against the trend of individualistic and self-determined relational patterns of our modern technological age.

So, where do we go from here? Do we abandon the technology of our modern world, move to the countryside and adopt an Amish-style existence? Not at all. The point of this post has not been to condemn modern communication technology (I am using it this very moment!). Rather, the point has been that we must be aware of the challenges that it creates for ministry in our modern and postmodern world. The technology does not necessarily create sin patterns, but exacerbates the sin patterns that are already present within our hearts, and the hearts of our congregations. In response, we need to do something that we needed to do anyway: give our people a robust and vibrant picture of what the church is and their place in it. In other words, we need to give them a full-orbed biblical ecclesiology

Pastor-in-charge of Region 19, Pastor Brown Oyitso, traced the history of First Born Family, to a vision received by Pastor Adeboye , when he was made the General Overseer. According to him, the initial church at Ladipo Oluwole in Ikeja grew to over 1,000 parishes within one year despite the “initial teething challenges just like any other human organization, we waxed stronger. Today, the single young church has grown into a network of over 2,500 churches within Nigeria with 15 provinces and many more are still being planted.”

Winners Church 2018, 21 Days Fast - Day 1 Sermon By David Oyedepo by Admin(m): Mon Jan 2018 03:24pm
Winners 2018, 21 Days Fasting and Prayers Day 1

Fasting without prayers is a religious ritual, this kind goweth not but by prayer and fasting, not by just prayers, but prayer and fasting. John 6:63, Jeremiah 15:16,

Two factors that gives value to fasting

1. Schedule your prayer time and the word
2. Define your target

Training up for Kingdom advancement Endeavor , Matthew 6:23, engaging in prayer and and the word, praying thy Kingdom come, thy will be done on earth, He wants everyone to make it to heaven. Engaging with Gods interest on earth is what Kingdom advancement is all about. So supernatural church growth is part of those desires of God. Partnering with God in Kingdom advancement, there is no loss, you don't partner with God and lose anything.

The prayer of faith is the only guarantee for answers from God.
Let him ask in faith, James 1:6, nothing out of everything will be delivered to you but you first need to ask in faith! Matthew 9:28, our cry is answered according to the faith, build your faith in Gods ability to deliver, let his word rule your thoughts as you pray.

A cry does not count anything in prayer but a cry of faith. We must pray faith incubated prayer, faith infused prayer.
Whatever demand that is not faith will never see the light of day.

Every demand of yours this season shall be faith incubated demand in Jesus Name.
Ephesians 3:20, He is able do all that we demand, but is prayer of faith, both length but strength of faith involved, there shall be no empty cry from anyone here in Jesus name.

How to pray faith incubated prayers

1. Have the word which you want o remind God of his word, that's why every prayer here has a word, in pushing your desire to God, Isaiah 43:6, make sure they are strong enough to push your case Isiah 41:21 strong reasons. John 5:4 Jesus got him out of this, inspire the source Jesus for him out of that sickness. Luke 10:19 no poisonous thing is permitted to affect you.
2. You must be faith ready to pray faith effective prayer. Its one thing to be free but is another thing to be free indeed , you will hit your freedom right and you will enjoy it for life, in Jesus name.
You have done day one of this fast 20 more days to go, every prayer you pray this season shall answer in Jesus name. Every 3 days of this fast shall answer to your every desire in Jeus name.
You need to accept Jesus as your Lord and saviour or you want to return back to Jesus, and experience the reality of new birth, confess to Jesus right now and pray the prayer of repentance. Jesus is Lord. Day 2 continues tomorrow, fast pray and study the word Amen. - Day 1 Sermon David Oyedepo

Rules Guiding Christianity24.org C24 Forum Members by Admin(m): Sat Dec 2017 08:45pm
Here are the rules guiding Christianity24 Forum
Rules Guiding Christianity24.org C24 Forum Members

Most of these "rules" are simply common sense and proper Christian conduct, but for better understanding about the usage of this Christian Forum,
here are our rules.

1. Christianity24 forbids anti-Christian, or inappropriate materials in this forum

Please do not try to register any blasphemous or offensive nicknames. Also please do not engage in any blasphemous, profane, or improper talk, or any talk that is offensive in Chrsitianity24 C24 Forum.

Also, please don't post any inappropriate links in your articles post, profile or in any of our discussion sections (e.g., links to anti-Christian sites, sites with inappropriate content, sites promoting other religions, cults, or doctrines contrary to the Bible).

Also, photos in chat profiles should be with appropriate clothing and not provocative.

2. No conduct that is offensive or counterproductive to fellowship.

We like to welcome all to Christianity24, but if anyone is not here for fellowship (or for wanting to know about Christianity), but simply for disrupting fellowship, offending people, whatever, then that person is not welcome.

3. No flooding.

Please don't flood the whole comment section with repeated messages.

4. Language

Please speak mostly English in the general discussion pages so that others can understand you, except when you are responding to a member who asked a question in a language you understand, as long as such post was not intended to mock, gossip any member or topic in C24.

5. No worldly music, please.

We don't want to make an absolute rule against all secular music/lyrics, but most secular music is indeed worldly (against the teachings of the Bible), and we'd really rather have Christian music or lyrics playing (or being sung) when others enter our "Christian Music Forum" pages.

6. Do not dispute the Christianity24.org Forum Moderators/Admins.You will be Banned for some time, please take note!

The moderators are there to watch over Christian forum rooms, promote fellowship, and protect the No1 African Christian Forum when necessary. Their job is stressful enough. :-) Don't add to their stress by disputing their actions, especially if it involves someone else and not you. For example, if you see a moderator/Admin remove or barn post or member, and wonder why don't worry about it. The moderator probably knows something you don't. Have some trust in the moderators, appreciate them, and respect their oversight of the entire Christian Forum and Chats.

Also please don't be making posts on the forums about someone else's ban. It doesn't help!

And please understand that we don't have the time or energy to talk to a hundred different people (or even a dozen different people) about somebody else's ban. Leave it between that person and the moderator, please!

Creating a cloud of mistrust and suspicion makes our task more difficult. Regarding other sites, understand that we've had too many cases of new and existing gospel blogs trying to copy christianity24.org, on our site. If you are trying to build up your own online fellowship (chat site or forum or facebook group or skype group whatever), leeching off of another online fellowship (by trying to recruit its users) is not the way to do it. How To Be A Better Christian (III John2) by Admin(m): Fri Dec 2017 04:36am
Be A Better Christian (III John2)

"Beloved, I wish above all things that you may prosper and be in health, even as your soul prospers".
Believers all around the world try to work at 'becoming a better Christian' but very few have fully come to the understanding of getting better at being a Christian. Those few are the ones with the Spirit of God.

Even though God's wish for us is that we prosper and be in health both in the spiritual and physical realms, some of us prosper better in only one aspect at the detriment of the other. Some Christians are noticeably blessed beyond doubt in the physical, some even envy them but when some of such Christians are tried either by God or the devil, we discover they are paperweight Christians like Peter who denied Jesus (Lk.22:56-57), they also do the same. These Christians fall into Category one.

The other set of Christians are what some refer to as the " Spiritual Christians

Some of these 'pay' close attention to the things of God, which is the ultimate, but this is sometimes at the detriment of their physical wellbeing i.e, emotional, career-wise, calling, vision and aspirations, set goals, character, etc.
As much as God wants us to flow with Him in our relationship with Him on a daily basis, He also wishes for us to bring others to the knowledge of Him through our daily living. Our lives must daily affect lives, this was what Jesus lived for. While on earth, Jesus was a blessing to many(Matt.14:20).

Even now, till His Kingdom will come, the very mention of His name works wonders. Some He had to preach to, while some loved Him for what He stood for.

Before we can become better Christians, we first need to be reconciled to God. When you know Him, others will come to know Him through you. This makes you watch your character as you know there are people looking up to you. Cultivate a meeting place with God daily and see your change come(Mark9:2).

Christian Dating A Biblical Perspective by Admin(m): Thu Dec 2017 08:18pm
CHRISTIAN DATING

What is the difference between Dating and Courtship?

Dating is a stage of romantic relationship whereby two people meet socially. It consists of social activities either involving the couples alone or with others. Courtship/Courting involves a man's courting of a woman, seeking her affection (usually with the hope of marriage)

Dating is usually a game of chance; it might not work out as planned. The reason why it is not Biblical is that it involves some 'social activities' which could lead to rape. Cases of date rape are usually common in dating because God might not be involved at the beginning. And if God isn't invited to be in on a matter, He stands back, keeps His cool and watches what would become of those involved. You would realize that there are online dating sites, but there are no online courting sites because courting is of God.

In Genesis 24, Abraham who enjoyed the best of marriage after his wife's death in Genesis 23, realised he didn't want his son having any relations with the heathen i.e, the Canaanites because he knew a wrong marital decision could mar one's destiny/God's promises (Gen.16: 1-4, 21:9-12). This almost happened to Abraham in his affair with Hagar, his wife's maid, so he entrusted this great task of marital choice in the hands of his most trusted servant. Abraham took a wife for his son out of his country and from among his kindred i.e his own people. People of like minds, people with the same pattern of lifestyle.

In courting, a man seeks a woman's affection until she gives it. That takes patience. Spiritual heads and both parents are not in the dark. In dating, deception is a possibility because parents and spiritual heads might not be involved until the last stage when the "bride" must have been impregnated and already playing the part of a wife while not married. A marriage contracted out of God's will is a pathway to a lifelong chaos.

STEPS TO CHOOSING THE RIGHT PARTNER IN MARRIAGE.

1. Involve God from start to finish. Abraham's servant sought God's face and before he even finished his prayers, he saw the result (Gen. 24:15-21, Isa. 65:24). Your own answer might not be immediate, but SEEK GOD FIRST!

2. Ask for a confirmation(Isa.45:11). This might be a verse of the scripture(Gen. 24:12-14), a word of encouragement from another person, a revelation; something you can hold onto as a reference.

3. Involve your spiritual heads in prayers and encouragement, carry them along, learn from their experiences and be obedient to whatsoever God tells you through them.

4. Your Parents are of vital importance in this decision-making process. If they tell you not to go ahead, it might just be God speaking through them. But then, pray.

P.S, while it is good to take advice from our spiritual heads, it is good to hear Directly from God First to avoid confusion.

Being a Better Christian 2018 by Admin(m): Fri Dec 2017 07:45pm
Being a Better Christian

Students in school, after every session is over, receive their results and check their performance, some perform better than the previous session while others don’t. They go and find ways to improve their performances. Just as the student is, so are Christians in the school of life. This proves that it’s possible to improve as Christians, for the desire to improve is inherent in man. Let’s concentrate on the path of being a better Christian. As there are Principles you can apply in other to get better out of a product, by following the instructions in the manufacturer’s manual so it is possible to become better in our Christian Race. But the Christian race is not just an acceptance of Christ as Lord but also a call to live separate and dedicated to service. There are lots of religious activities we can engage in that’ll help us to be in touch with the Master. Below are some activities that can help us become better Christians.

Bible Study: ” In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God and the Word was God.” (John 1:1). The bible is the Word of God, spoken by God to men through men. For it is the direct inspiration of God (2Timothy 3:16). Whenever we study the bible we interact with the mindset of God and we are gradually transformed by the renewing of your mind of which is the perfect will of God.(Romans 12:2) for His Word will never return to Him void.(Isaiah 55:11)
Prayers: Prayer is communicating with God. Every good student is in good communication with his Teacher for him to succeed. So for us to better our Christian work with God we must communicate consistently with God. (John 1:38), (Matthew 26:39, 11:19).

Fellowship: Iron sharpens iron (Proverbs 27:17). For the fellowship of brethren should not be neglected. For as we work together we better ourselves.
We must intentionally give ourselves to developing ourselves to being just like Christ. It takes a consistent and firm decision as we gradually become like him.

No Sinner is a Christian by Thejustman(m): Mon Dec 2017 07:53pm
TEXT: 1 JOHN 3: 1 - 24
M/VERSE: 1 PETER 4:18

AIM: The universal man recognizes that he has no legal standing with God. The numerous temples, alters and priesthood of all nations eloquently confess man's consciousness of sin and of fear of death and judgement to follow. None of the old religions of the world has any real hope or solution of the sin problem (John 15:22, Rom. 5:18-19). The Gospel of Christ presents God as reconcilable through a mediator and lets you see God reconciling the world to Himself that sin may not be
imputed to them (2Cor. 5:19). But if sinners are good in the sight of the Lord and He is pleased in them then where is the God of Judgement, (Mal. 2:17, Heb. 9:27).

LESSON PLAN:
1. Describe the position of man after the fall
2. (a) What is reconciliation? (b) Who are the reconciled?
3. Why are sinners no Christians?

1. Man became mortal and a subject of the Devil (1Cor. 15:53, Eph. 2:3). He is giving birth to children not for God but for the glory and joy of the devil (Ps. 127:3, Prov. 22:6). Man is a partaker of satanic nature that has made him an enemy of God. Since his treason, man has no legal approach to God except through a bleeding sacrifice, anointed priesthood, through dreams or angelic visitations. His mind has become blinded by the Devil Read (John 12:40, 2Cor. 4:4, Eph. 2:12).

2. Reconciliation means to establish peace or to make friendly again. After the fall, man became an enemy of God because he now partakes of satanic nature, his new father and ruler, (John 8:44). Spiritual Death overwhelms man, and in this realm he is in enmity against God (Rom 7:24-25, Rom. 8:1). The substitutionary redemption plan is the basis for God reconciling with man (Isa. 25:7-9, Isa. 53:6, Matt. 4:16). The entire plan is to retrieve man from spiritual death and to give man the very nature of God, which is spiritual life (John 10:10, John 17:3-4, Rom. 6:23, John 1:4).

(b) The reconciled are they who are now given the power to become children of God. Their sonship privileges have been restored to them and they now bear the seed of God (1John 3:14-15, Col. 2:13, Rom. 8:14).

3. Behold the Lamb of God which taketh away the sin of the world (John 1:29). This sin is spiritual death which shut man out of the sight of God. Col. 2:15, Rev. 1:18 give a picture of the combat that Jesus had with the adversary, and after meeting the claims of justice had been made alive in spirit (1Tim. 3:16). That victory is human's victory. And as many that claim this victory of Christ possess the seed of God (2Cor. 5:17, 1Cor. 15:54-55). In God there is no sin, and to them that have His nature cannot commit sin (1John 3:9). This was the case with the apostles, Paul and all greatly used men of God. The seed of God in them made them as perfect as God, and were described as Christ-like from which the name Christianity developed. God's nature has not changed, fallen man's nature has not changed. How can now a sinner be good in the sight of God considering Gen. 6:3, Ex. 33:20, Eph. 2:12.

To the born again, read John 5:14, John 8:11, Heb. 10:26, 1John 2:29. To the unregenerated read 1John 1:8-10 and John 1:12. Be reminded, therefore that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God, neither doth corruption inherit incorruption (1Cor. 15:50).

CONCLUSION: Jesus is coming soon. Where will you spend Eternity? Read your Bible daily.
